Local singer Sibusiso Makhoba (24) from Steadville is taking SA Idols by storm at the moment!

Makhoba’s journey in the popular music competition took a huge step forward when he recently earned himself a Golden Ticket. The Golden Ticket means he is through to the Theatre Week stage.

It takes extraordinary talent to make it to Theater Week, as the majority of entrants get ‘shown the door’ during the audition stage.

Makhoba is among the 31 entrants who secured the all-important Golden Ticket; possibly a ticket to stardom on the world stage!

Sibusiso Makhoba is not new to the music industry though, as he has featured on songs by well-known musicians, including the Vico da Sporo single entitled ‘When I Met uNobuhle’.

Makhoba is also not the first local musician to participate in Idols, as Nosipho Silinda raised the Ladysmith flag high in the same competition in 2018.
