Newcastle detectives are looking into a case of common robbery that occurred in Hospital Street on July 27.
According to Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications Officer Lizzy Arumugam, the complainant claimed that an unknown male approached him and took his cash and cellphone.
Police investigations are continuing.
