NEWCASTLE KZN: Twice burgled, now cancer – help Trevor turn his life around

After being burgled twice, Trevor has been borrowing items of clothing from his neighbours.

The first time his home was burgled, Trevor Khumalo’s television and computer were stolen.

A few weeks later, his home was burgled for the second time and thieves made off with all of Trevor’s clothing, shoes and books, which they must have carried away in his suitcases as they were also missing. Even if robbers manage to gain access to his property again, there is nothing left for them to take.

Last week, Trevor was referred to King Edward Hospital after Newcastle doctors discovered he has prostate cancer.

Over the past few days, Trevor has been borrowing items of clothing from his neighbours, but this will no longer be possible when he leaves town to seek oncology treatment.

He is now seeking the assistance of the community for donations of clothing, shoes and a suitcase that will see him through his hospital stay. Trevor wears a size 36 – 38 and his shoe size is 7.

He leaves Newcastle on Thursday (August 26). Residents who are able to assist, can contact Trevor on 074 082 1883 or via email: trevor_khumalo@hotmail.com
