ESTCOURT KZN: Locals savour a free lunch

Thanks to the generosity of Reena Bhugwandeen and her family and friends, 500 meals were distributed

A piping-hot, freshly-prepared meal was most welcome on a chilly Sunday (August 22) and hundreds of locals benefited.

Massive pots of vegetable breyani and dhall were prepared and distributed by the local Food for Life branch and Iskcon Estcourt.

Locals were invited to collect their meal from the Iskcon temple premises in Forderville.

– Ashlyn and Ricky Ramthol were among the hundreds of locals who benefited from Sunday’s ‘feed’.

Volunteers welcomed locals with hand sanitizer and religious literature before the meals were handed out.
