NEWCASTLE KZN: Main line repairs responsible for water disruptions in Newcastle East

Technical teams are currently on site, and water supply will be restored sometime this afternoon.

Newcastle Municipality issued a statement today, informing residents of Newcastle East that water disruptions would follow due to closure of a main water line for repairs.

Municipal Head of Communications, Mlungisi Khumalo said the Emadlangeni line is currently being fixed, which has affected water supply in Amasondeza, Jakalasi, Dicks Farm, and Umndozo. Technical teams are currently on site.

He said water supply would be restored to normal sometime this afternoon. The municipality has expressed its apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Khumalo added that any water shortages, burst pipes, and leaks can be reported to the call centre on 0860 144 144.
