NEWCASTLE KZN: Osizweni SAPS appeals for help tracing murder suspects
The victim was last seen in the company of her uncle and a friend.
Police officials in Osizweni are appealing to residents to come forward with any information regarding two men, who are believed to have murdered a 19-year-old woman in the area on September 15.
In a statement from Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications’ Lizzy Arumugam, it is alleged the young woman was last seen alive on the aforementioned date by members of her family.
“She was last seen in the company of her uncle, Musawakhe Wisdom Buthelezi, and a friend, Njabulo Mahlashana,” said Arumugam.
The body of the young woman was then discovered in her room by members of her family two days later (September 17).
Buthelezi and Mahlashana were seen on September 16, but seem to have gone into hiding thereafter. SAPS has issued a ‘be on lookout’ or BOLO for the suspects, who are wanted for questioning in relation to the young woman’s death.
