DUNDEE KZN: Farmer accused of murder awaits bail verdict

Heavy police presence once again outside court

The Glencoe Magistrate’s Court has adjourned for lunch following an intense morning session in the Garth Simpson bail application.

Mr Simpson is charged with murder and 6 counts or possession of unlawful firearms.

Currently, the Defensive Attorney is still cross examining the Investigating Officer, Captain Khambule.

The issue of the video (allegedly depicting what happened on the day in question) has featured heavily during questioning in the bail proceedings.

A smaller batch of protesters have once again gathered outside the court, calling for the accused to be denied bail.

WATCH:

Police have this time around used barbed wired as a means to barricade the area around court, in an attempt to keep community members out.
