VRYHEID KZN: The process of taking meter readings

Please check your municipal statement for billing dates and use this time of the month to take a reading in order for us to process 30-day consumption

AbaQulusi Local Municipality has issued the following request to residents regarding water and electricity meter reading: “A meter reading is an essential part of sending out an accurate municipal services account to consumers. Mthombongashi (Pty) Ltd has been appointed by Council for a period of three years to perform meter readings and we request you, as consumers, to give them access to your premises to obtain these readings. Please note that a photo will be taken by the meter reader of your meter to minimise consumption complaints. In terms of policy, a physical meter reading must be performed quarterly. Should access not be forthcoming, a photo of the electrical meter, together with the municipal account number, can be sent via WhatsApp to 064 533 9411 or emailed to meterreadings@mthombongashi.co.za “Please check your municipal statement for billing dates and use this time of the month to take a reading in order for us to process 30-day consumption.”
