NEWCASTLE KZN: Stage 2 load-shedding begins tonight
Unlike the situation over the weekend, the municipality will be cutting off power entirely and not just geysers.
Eskom has advised the Newcastle Municipality to impose stage 2 load-shedding between 21:00 and 5:00, starting from tonight.
Head of Communications for the municipality, Mlungisi Khumalo said the load-shedding was part of the power utility’s rotational programme and would continue until further notice.
Unlike the situation over the weekend, the municipality will be cutting off power entirely and not just geysers.
“Residents are urged to regard all electrical installations as active for the full duration of the outage,” added Khumalo.
The municipality has extended its apologies to residents for the inconvenience caused.
