Creations, an annual arts and crafts outlet for local artists, is a yearly tradition at Talana Museum.
This year’s edition has special significance, as it marks the swansong of world-famous curator Pam McFadden, who is retiring after decades of dedication in building Talana Museum into the award-winning complex it is.
It was Pam who introduced Creations nearly two decades ago as an outlet for those who make and create a host of crafts but do not have an outlet to sell from.
This year’s Creations is a welcome boost for those crafters whose traditional markets have dried up because of lockdown regulations. The exhibition opened last week with Odette Layton providing a food-tasting demonstration of her uniquely homemade butter.
On show are paintings, homemade edibles, woodwork, a range of books and lots more. Creations is open daily in the conference hall until November 17.
