NEWCASTLE KZN: One person killed in roll-over on the N11
The vehicle rolled multiple times before landing on one of the occupants.
One person has died and another person has been injured, after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned on the N11 Majuba Pass earlier this afternoon (November 7).
According to sources at the scene, the bakkie was reportedly taking a bend when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn.
“It is believed the bakkie rolled three times before it came to a standstill, landing on one of the occupants,” said one of the sources.
The person upon which the vehicle landed has been declared dead at the scene. The other person has sustained serious injuries and has been transported to hospital for further treatment.
Emergency personnel are currently on the scene and an official investigation into the cause of the roll-over is underway.
