The newly-elected councillor for Ward 20, Abbas Warasally, took to the streets on Sunday (November 7) to thank his constituents for their votes.

He was accompanied by some of his supporters to meet, greet and thank the community for trusting him with their service delivery needs and voting for the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP).

A ‘thank you’ convoy of vehicles snaked its way through the streets, with various stops along the way. It was clear from the excitement of the community that they are eagerly awaiting positive change via their new councillor.

Cllr Warasally commented that, “Once again, I, Councillor Abbas Warasally, take this opportunity to thank the residents of Alfred Duma Local Municipality for trusting us with their votes and voting for a better future.”
