ESTCOURT KZN: Police seek missing senior citizen
Evidence that is available shows that it is very unlikely that Mbele left the Estcourt area
Estcourt detectives are appealing to the community to help them with information concerning the whereabouts of Shiyani Mbele (69). Mbele has two homes; one in Rensburgdrift and the other in Durban. On April 2, he suddenly disappeared.
“Being around the time when social pensions are paid out, it was presumed that he had left for Durban. Though the last person to have seen him, his nephew could not confirm that. Tracing Mbele in Durban proved to be very labour-and time-intensive. Family and friends could not supply detectives with an address of his Durban home,” explained police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan.
Evidence that is available shows that it is very unlikely that Mbele left the Estcourt area. He is a well-built individual who is about 1.75m in height. He has a beard and moustache. Detectives are appealing to the community to come forward with any information they have in this case.
