DUNDEE KZN: Charlies Spar richly awards top student

Amanda also thanked her parents and family for their love and support throughout her primary school years.

There was lots of excitement when Charlie’s Super Spar manager Shaun Hendricks handed a Charlie’s Spar voucher to top student Amanda Mbatha, as well as R1000 in cash.
118 Grade 7 students wrote the final exams, with the top 10 closely competing for the top prize.
Amanda, from Amakhemfundo Primary School, said: “I spent long hours studying and would like to thank my teachers for their dedication in assisting me when I needed it most.”
“I would also like to thank Charlie’s Super Spar for the wonderful prize, as the voucher will surely assist my family during this Christmas season.
“This is the first time I have received such a wonderful prize.”
Amanda wants to study Medicine when she finishes matric.
Amanda’s mother, Thandi Nkosi, expressed how proud she is of her daughter and also thanked Charlie’s Super Spar for the voucher and cash.
