Watch: Ladysmith floods – Roads clear and clean-up begins

Clean-up operations start as river drops...

The river dramatically dropped overnight (January 18/19) and flood waters receded, leaving the CBD covered in dirty, muddy slime.

Officials have cautioned motorists to drive with care on the roads, which are all re-opened.

The muddy conditions not only make the roads slippery, but can hide obstacles like potholes.
