Newcastle has a new acting Municipal Manager
Mthembu, who has held municipal posts in AbaQulusi and Nquthu, takes over from Vish Govender.
Newcastle has a new acting Municipal Manager – Sthembiso Mthembu.
In a post on Facebook this afternoon, the Newcastle Municipality formally announced the appointment of Mthembu as the acting city manager.
The Newcastle Local Council met on Tuesday and the item was reportedly discussed ‘in committee’. It is believed however that a number of candidate CVs were considered when filling the MM post.
Mthembu, who has held municipal posts in AbaQulusi (Vryheid) and Nquthu, takes over from Vish Govender. Govender was removed from the acting MM position on January 26.
