Young gardening entrepreneurs now looking for sponsorship
They have 1200 hectares of land which they have used to plant cabbages.

Izinqwele Multi-Purpose is a team of six members who have started a garden in Glencoe.
The proactive gardeners now need the community’s help in procuring a JoJo tank, piping, poles and netting to get them further along.
They have 1200 hectares of land which they have used to plant cabbages.
The plan is to plant various vegetables in summer, like potatoes, tomatoes and green peppers.
“This group of young men don’t have many resources to get their garden up and running, but they have started one nevertheless and are hoping to sell fresh produce in our community,” said Ward 7 Cllr Abdool.
The councillor also explained that with unemployment at such a high rate, the youth have to form co-operatives and do work with their hands in order to make a living.
This initiative should thus be commended and helped.
