Six people injured in taxi rollover
Despite the vehicle being fully loaded, none of the passengers were killed or seriously injured.
A mini-bus taxi overturned on the P483, between Newcastle and Madadeni, on Tuesday night (June 28). The rollover left six people injured.
According to Jan-Henk van Vuuren of Magenta Medical Services, despite the fact that the taxi was fully loaded, the occupants were fortunate to escape with minor injuries. No deaths or serious injuries were reported from the rollover.
He said the exact cause of the incident is not clear at this stage, and remains subject to formal investigations by the authorities.
