Angry about incorrect details on birth certificate
A local woman is upset with Home Affairs over a blunder that could ruin her travel plans later this year
Ms Rebella Elizabeth Ryan is frustrated after Ladysmith Home Affairs printed her unabridged birth certificate with details that are incorrect.
Rebella says she applied for her certificate four months ago and to her horror, when she went to collect it last week, the information was wrong.

She claims that she was then told by the manager and supervisor that they couldn’t help her, and that only head office could rectify the mistake.
“When I requested the contact number at head office, they also couldn’t give me that. I am very upset, as this could delay my trip, since I need the certificate for travelling overseas in September,” said an annoyed Ms Ryan.
She is now seeking advice and help to get her certificate rectified.
Home Affairs manager Mr P Kubheka was sent an email on Tuesday, but had not responded to queries at the time of publishing this article.
