Emergency first responders thanked for their dedicated service
Senior SAPS officials, including General Alexander, Brigadier Sangweni, station commanders and other ranking officers were in attendance.
The Amajuba CCPA, Newcastle CPF, District SAPS and Amajuba Crime Comms hosted a year end function for emergency first responders and safety and security personnel at the Zinzanni Hall on Saturday, December 10.
The event was held to award and honour those exemplary individuals and teams from the various entities including: protection services, private security companies and ambulance services, SAPS and community safety forums.
“Often, these jobs can be thankless. The late hours spent, the long shifts, the stresses both on yourself and your families. Ultimately, this was a way of saying thank you, both to the members on the front line, and their support systems at home,” explained CPF secretary, Talha Randeree.

The organisers expressed their sincere gratitude to the private individuals and businesses who stepped forward in various ways to make the event possible.
