Early morning collision leaves six people injured

Among the injured patients was one child and five adults.

Six people were injured this morning (January 24) when a bus, taxi, and light-motor vehicle collided on the P483 between Newcastle and Madadeni.

According to Jan-Henk van Vuuren of Magenta Medical Services, among the injured patients was one child and five adults.

“Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were reported,” he said.

At this point, the cause of the collision is unknown and will be subject to further police investigations.
