Suspect in the murdered Newcastle TUT student appears in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court
Ntokozo Mayenzi Xaba’s ex-boyfriend Ngcebo Pro Thusi made his first appearance at the Pretoria Magistrates court on Monday (Febuary 6) after being officially charged with her murder.
Ngcebo Pro Thusi (23), the ex-boyfriend of murdered TUT student Ntokozo Mayenzi Xaba, appeared in Pretoria Magistrates Court today (Monday, February 6) on charges of murder.

Newcastle-born Ntokozo Mayenzi Xaba, 20, was discovered with a stab wound on her neck at her campus residence.
Xaba was reportedly drinking with friends, which included her ex-boyfriend, Thusi, on Wednesday (February 2). The friends allegedly left the two together that night.
After having no contact with her, the friends returned to her room the next morning. She was found by campus security and pronounced dead by paramedics on Thursday (February 3)
Thusi, a former Newcastle High School rugby player, was detained and questioned by police.
According to the NPA, Thusi is facing charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
His case has been postponed for February 13.
