Newcastle mayor hands over wheelchairs and title deeds to Madadeni beneficiaries
The lives of members of the disabled community in Madadeni were changed markedly when Newcastle Mayor, Xolani Dube, presented wheelchairs and title deeds during a municipal budget road show.
This initiative was part of the mayor’s on-going effort to improve the lives of the people of Newcastle not only through the delivery of services but also through offering social relief,” a municipal spokesperson said.
“This programme will not end today; it is a continuous effort that will be executed in all zones of the municipality,” Mayor Dube said.
The Mayor applauded Brochem Newcastle for their continued support and commitment in assisting the municipality to improve the lives of the people of Newcastle.
When we approached Brochem, they did not hesitate to partner with the municipality on this initiative,” continued Cllr. Dube.
The public consultation meeting is currently underway at the Osizweni Stadium.
