Truck set alight on N11 near Ingogo
Motorists are being urged to practice extra precaution as there is a large backlog in traffic flow at the moment.
Traffic came to an abrupt halt in the early hours of this morning (July 9) after a truck was set on fire on the N11 near Ingogo.
Although it is not yet confirmed, authorities suspect that it could possibly be linked to the six trucks that were ambushed and set alight by rogue protestors on the N3, Van Reenen’s Pass, shortly after midnight.
Fortunately, none of the truck drivers were injured in the attacks.
All emergency and towing services quickly responded to the scene on the N11 to remove the burned truck and clear the road of debris and authorities have confirmed the road is open.
Motorists are however being urged to practice extra precaution as there is a large backlog in traffic flow at the moment.
This is a developing story, and more details will be provided as soon as they become available.
