BREAKING NEWS: Man narrowly escapes death after shooting in Dundee

A 40-year-old man survived a shooting attack in Dundee; police seek information on unknown suspects.

Dundee – A 40-year-old man narrowly escaped death after his vehicle was shot at multiple times on Friday evening, June 20.

According to Dundee SAPS spokesperson, Constable Siyabonga Nkwanyana, the victim arrived at the Dundee police station to report the incident

He explained that while driving alone, unknown suspects opened fire on him at the corner of Union and Ann Street.

“The man managed to flee the scene and drove directly to the police station for assistance. A preliminary inspection of his vehicle revealed several bullet holes,” said Nkwanyana.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and a case of attempted murder has been opened for investigation.

“Police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward. All information will be treated with the strictest confidentiality,” he concluded.
