Northern KZN Rhino Wrestling Club prepares for another strong season on the mat

Wrestling practices are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 17:30 to 19:00 at Sarel Cilliers High School in Glencoe.

The Northern KZN Rhino Wrestling Club, champions of the 2024 Orange Grove KZN League, is back on the training mat as they prepare for a strong 2025 season.
The Glencoe-based club has consistently produced national champions over the years and 2024 was no exception, with three wrestlers claiming national titles.
However, the club’s full potential was not fully reflected in this year’s championships, as several local stars could not attend the competition in Cape Town.

The national championships will be held in Pretoria in 2025 and Coach Steven Brown – himself a former Commonwealth Games medal winner – is optimistic about the club’s prospects. Many of their top wrestlers are set to participate.

With around 30 wrestlers under his guidance, Coach Brown is enthusiastic about the talent in the club and believes it will be a successful year ahead. Boys and girls interested in joining the sport are encouraged to attend the practice sessions.
For more information, contact Coach Brown at 082 880 8629.
