Child suffers slight injuries after car veers off the road at Glencoe entrance

The section of road, at the entrance to Glencoe from Dundee, is notorious and the scene of many accidents.

A child suffered slight injuries when a vehicle veered off the road at the Dundee entrance to Glencoe this afternoon.

Witnesses said the vehicle was transporting three children when it swung to the other side of the road and went down a ditch.

The driver was said to be dazed but not injured. One of the children was injured above or near one of her eyes.

It is unclear what caused the accident but witnesses said bottles of liquor were found in the car.  SAPS did attend to the scene.
