Murder trial of police clerk continues in Dundee court

Accused appear in court as Siphiwe Ndlovu murder case progresses toward a finalised trial date

The trial of two men accused of the murder of police clerk Siphiwe Ndlovu (30) resumed in the Dundee Regional Court last week.

Mandla Mbuyisa and Amandla Mthetwa face charges of murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances. Both are represented by Legal Aid attorneys.

Ndlovu’s body was discovered near a tavern in Sibongile, where he had reportedly met the accused on the night of  November 28 2024. He had been stabbed multiple times and robbed of his personal belongings.

Detective Warrant Officer Anthony Nkabini of the Dundee Detectives Branch led the investigation. A breakthrough came the following day, when police arrested both suspects after receiving a tip-off.

The matter has been postponed to  August 11 for a pre-trial conference, where a trial date is expected to be finalised.
