Grace Run fundraiser for the SPCA postponed until September amid weather warning

Grace Run has been postponed until September 24 invites community to support SPCA in Glencoe.

Monday’s Grace Run – a fund raiser for the SPCA – has been postponed due to expected freezing weather that will envelope the area on Sunday evening.

The event will now take place on Hertiage Day on September 24 at the same venue – from the Kraaines Mark on Karel Landman Street, Glencoe, which will serve as a central meeting point for what promises to be a morning of fun, fitness and community spirit.

Fun for everyone

Registration opens at 08:00, with the Grace Run getting underway at 09:00.

The event is open to people of all ages and fitness levels. Participants can choose to walk, run, cycle, push a pram, ride a scooter or even bring along a wagon or wheelbarrow. The emphasis is on enjoying the morning while supporting a worthy cause.

For those looking for a greater challenge, a timed run will also be available, allowing more serious runners to test themselves and chase a personal best.

Organisers are encouraging participants to dress up, bring their families and friends, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere centred on fun rather than competition.

With the motto, “No pressure, no pace – just people and plenty of fun,” the Grace Run aims to bring the community together while raising much-needed funds to help care for animals at the local SPCA.

Everyone is encouraged to come along, take part and make a difference, one step at a time.
