Ekuvukeni Recovery — The AK-47 and ammo that was recovered.

A man was arrested in the Uitvaal area on Saturday (December 17) after being found in possession of an AK-47 assault rifle.

After receiving a tip-off, officers from Ekuvukeni SAPS rushed out to the Uitvaal area and surprised the suspect.

A search turned up an AK-47 rifle and 27 rounds of ammunition.

The suspect will appear in the Ekuvukeni Magistrate’s Court today (December 19), facing a charge of being in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition.
