One dead in head-on collision on Madadeni road

When emergency services arrived, they found that two vehicles had been involved in a head-on collision.

A head-on collision on the Madadeni road on Saturday, August 5 claimed a life.

One of the vehicles caught alight, trapping one of the occupants.

Chantelle Botha of KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service, said that when paramedics arrived on the scene, they found that two vehicles had been involved in a head-on collision.

“Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that one patient had sustained critical injuries and another serious injuries,” said Botha.

The patient who was critically injured died.

Other patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further intensive medical treatment.

The exact cause of the collision is still unknown at this stage and will remain subject to further police investigation.
