A collision in Murchison Street yesterday morning (April 23) ended with one of the drivers being arrested for drug possession. The crash involved a minibus taxi and a double-cab bakkie.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

However, when police arrived at the scene, they noticed that the driver of the bakkie was acting suspiciously.

A search was carried out and the 38-year-old driver was found in possession of cocaine.

According to police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda, the man was arrested and charged with possession of drugs. He is expected to appear in court soon.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this stage.
