Main uThukela water pipe burst in Limit Hill

Limit Hill and parts of Observation Hill are still without water

A burst main water pipe running through Limit Hill has left Limit Hill, Modelkloof and parts of Observation Hill without water.

The pipe burst sometime last night and has created widespread water service delivery disruptions.

When the Ladysmith Gazette arrived at the scene this morning (September 6), senior uThukela officials were surveying the area and assured us that uThukela staff would be on-site soon to deal with the issue.

Thousands of kilo-litres of clean drinking water could be seen pouring down the road, spilling out onto Helpmekaar Road.
