Water crisis: Marchers want a national intervention
Glencoe and Wasbank have been hit the hardest, with both towns receiving virtually no running water for over seven weeks.

The Department of Water & Sanitation has been called upon to intervene in the lingering Endumeni water crisis that has left the entire municipality dry.

This was the call made when marchers, led by the ANC, converged in front of the Umzinyathi head office in Victoria Street on Friday.
With no one from the district present, a memorandum was handed over to Bongiwe Msane, who had been sent by National Water & Sanitation Minister Senzo Mchunu.
The memorandum called on the national department to take over the bulk water supply from uThukela Water and the reticulation from Umzinyathi.
