Dundee Country Club hosts 13th bumper Corporate Classic Day
The Roger and Jenny Ross Memorial Golf Day will be held on Boxing Day (December 26) in the format of an IPS.
Dundee Country Club hosted another successful annual Corporate Classic Golf Day on Saturday, with 20 teams participating in this 13th edition of the event.
Held in the format of a scramble drive, the day started with a shotgun start in clear morning weather conditions. However, the golfers would have to contend with grey skies and rain later in the day.
The committee and members thank all the sponsors, as well as Henk Booysen, for a well-organised sponsored day.
First prize was claimed by the Property Dundee team of Anthon Raubenheimer, Abrie Pretorius, Bertie Venter and Lionel Shawe, with Flotek’s Kallie Roets, Wessel Odendaal, Kevin Donaldson and Bjorn Talanda in second. Third place was taken by the veterans from Battery Centre: Rob Streak, Cyril Mkhwanazi, Mark Nero and Joe Khumalo.
The ‘most golf’ prize went to Africa Tyres, while the ‘longest drive’ prizes were won by S Kalideen (men) and Naomi van Huysteen (ladies).
Nearest the pins: no. 4 – JP Fourie, no. 8 – J Crafick, no. 12 – Ben Jacobs, and no. 16 – Joe Khumalo. Well done to all the winners and participants!
