Parts of town are flooded tonight (December 17) after the heavy rain that fell this afternoon and again this evening.

Hail fell in some places, accompanied by torrential rain that let up for a while and then returned.

The storm also affected the electricity supply in various areas.

Motorists are advised to take caution out on the roads or avoid driving until the water subsides.
