The message on the evening was to use your own light to bring positivity to the world
The annual ‘Tree of Lights’ event was held at Hospice House on December 9. Locals gathered for an evening of remembrance and reflection.
Estcourt Hospice chairperson Anil Sookraj thanked everyone for being present and said that Hospice is one big family that provides hope to more than 200 patients who receive palliative care from trained professionals.
Reverend Sonto Thusi presented a scripture reading which reminded those present of the birth of Jesus.
Emmanuel Frank then delivered a message on the ‘Power of Light’, encouraging everyone to reveal their light and use it to dispel negativity.
The highlight of the evening was the switching on of the ‘Tree of Lights’.
