Church helps out at children’s home

New curtains were hung at the home and cookies were also donated

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were at Môrester Children’s Home on Sunday (December 18) to implement their annual ‘Light the World’ initiative.

This outreach programme is aimed at bringing the light of Christ into communities over the Christmas season in the district, which incorporates Dundee, Ezakheni and Ladysmith.

This year, the church selected Môrester as a beneficiary of this programme. District president Paul de Klerk donated and hung new curtains in every window in each house at the care centre, and also donated boxes of assorted cookies for Christmas.

The church hopes that this will help uplift and motivate the children. They would also like to thank everyone who helped during this time, and wish everyone a blessed Christmas.
