Hospice cake sale hits the sweet spot

Funds from the cake sale go to Hospice, which provides palliative care to patients

There were treats aplenty at the Hospice cake sale on Friday (March 3).

Locals were invited to browse through the selection of sweet and savoury treats that decked the table outside the Charity Shop.

Funds raised from the sale are ploughed back into the Estcourt Hospice Association, which provides palliative care to patients in the area.

The volunteers would like to thank everyone who baked, gave a donation and supported the fund-raiser.

“The cake sale was a huge success. Thank you also to Debbie, Val, Bruce, Mumsy, Penny, Yvette and Rachel for all your help. A big thank you to Angie and her husband for sponsoring and putting up the tent for us at every cake sale; it is greatly appreciated. We are very blessed with the support we get from the community,” said Hospice volunteer Belinda Smith.
