Protestors close off part of R103

Angry residents closed off a portion of the R103 at the intersection of Papkuilsfontein and Rensburg this morning (March 16).

Burning tyres and debris are scattered on the road.

It is believed that residents are demonstrating their dissatisfaction over the water supply.

Some areas in and around Rensburg and Papkuilsfontein have had erratic or no water supply for more than a week.

Law enforcement officers are on scene.
