A young girl was tragically killed in an accident in Agra Road this afternoon (April 3).

The girl was hit by a minibus taxi and was declared dead at the scene.

The distraught parents could not hide their anguish as they were comforted by other family members who also gathered on scene.

Residents rushed out of their homes to see what was going on after hearing people shouting and screaming in the street.

Police and Public Safety responded and carried out traffic control while waiting for the forensics team to arrive.
