NOFTA celebrates Mother’s Day with style

The NOFTA organization organized its yearly mothers' day celebration event this past Saturday (May 20). The Nofta Hall was decked in the regal hues of gold and purple with a touch of pink to represent a mother's love.

The unforgettable event featured delectable cuisine, live music, dancing, and wonderful raffle prizes. The attendees arrived party-ready in vibrant saris and dapper suits.

People brought out their moms, grandmothers, aunts, and sisters to honor those who gave them life and raised them, creating a strong sense of community in the fully packed hall.

The oldest NOFTA member and one of its founders, Aunty Bharbie, was ecstatic to have another chance to celebrate the important day and spoke of how she started the organization to foster camaraderie among the elderly.

The guests partied until late in the night and are already looking forward to next year when they can do it all again.
