Meeting underway to resolve taxi association dispute

SANTACO provincial leadership, police and full members of the Klipriver Taxi Association are in attendance at the meeting

A meeting to find solutions to the ongoing dispute within the Klipriver Taxi Association is currently underway.

The meeting is being held today (May 31) at the Indoor Sports Complex.

This comes after some members of the association came out in public, complaining about the alleged ‘misuse’ of the association’s finances.

These members even threatened to embark on a stay-away on Monday (May 29), which was cancelled because the provincial leadership of the South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) called this meeting as a means of trying to resolve the dispute.

This private meeting is only open to full members of the association.

Police are also present.
