Suspected copper thief granted bail

The four remaining suspects were remanded into custody at the Ladysmith Correctional Centre.

One of five accused in a copper cable theft case has been granted bail.
Dumisani Khoza, who lives in Dundee, was granted R1000 bail with strict conditions attached. His four co-accused, who are all from Mpumalanga, abandoned their bail application.
The men were arrested in central Dundee last month after their MP registration bakkie was pulled over by a police patrol following a tip-off.

Copper and cabling weighing 98kg was found in their vehicle.
The bakkie and the cables were impounded by police.

The four remaining suspects were remanded into custody at the Ladysmith Correctional Centre and will appear again with Khoza on June 27.
