Truck flips onto its side in Poort Road

Traffic was diverted because the truck was blocking the road

Morning traffic was diverted after a truck carrying bags of charcoal lost control and flipped onto its side going round the bend in Poort Road.

The driver was not injured in the accident.

An eyewitness who saw the crash says the truck seemed to tip over in slow-motion.

Public Safety officers immediately sealed off the road and diverted traffic into Carbineer Road.

The scene is still being cleared.
