Girl Guides and Scouts celebrate World Earth Day

The day was all about fostering a love for nature and caring among the young members

World Earth Day was celebrated by the Estcourt District Girl Guides, in conjunction with the Scouts Movement, recently.

The members paraded from Princess Park up Harding Street, before they reached the Town Hall for the formal programme.

The day was all about fostering a love for nature and caring among the young members.

“We are also instilling the skill of appreciation and respect in them. It was indeed an enjoyable day and we learned a lot. Thumbs up to our local municipality, traffic department, police and all other stakeholders who made our day successful,” commented Guider Deborah Gamede.
