Police celebrate Heritage Month in style

The aim was to show unity in diversity within the SAPS

SAPS personnel from all police stations falling under the uThukela District celebrated Heritage Month together at Ladysmith’s 5SAI army base today (September 20).

Heritage Day is on September 24 and the police officials embraced the month through wearing traditional regalia and cooking traditional food.

To make it interesting, different stations represented a specific culture. They had to wear the traditional clothing and also cook the food associated with that particular cultural group.
