Dundee Bowls Club takes top honours for 2023

Dundee first won the title in 2021 and has now again brought back the honours.

Dundee Bowling Club had a great end to the year when they were crowned ‘Club of the Year’.
The trophy was presented at the bowls version of the Ryder Cup, played in Vryheid on Saturday. The Ryder Cup was introduced three years ago, where Newcastle plays against the ‘Rest of Northerns’, which includes Piet Retief, Volksrust, Ncandu, Dundee, Vryheid and Ntonga. After the day’s play, the Northern Zone hosts its annual prize-giving.
It is here that achievements throughout the year are acknowledged.
The ‘Club of the Year’ is worked out on the achievements (tournaments won / runners-up) throughout the year.
Dundee first won the title in 2021 and has now again brought back the honours.
“What an achievement for our club. Many thanks to all our members and friends,” enthused club president Greg Conolly.
