Assistance needed after another house burns down in Amajuba Park

Calls are being made to the public to assist a second family who has lost almost everything, after a fire gutted their home in Amajuba Park on Wednesday, February 14.

According to reports, the fire was sparked by lithium batteries but this could not be confirmed as investigations are still on going to determine the exact cause of the fire.

Fortunately, the family did not suffer physical injuries as they managed to quickly escape the inferno.

However, they lost a significant amount of their personal belongings as a result of the raging flames.

They are now in dire need of the communities help with clothes, blankets, food and toiletries.

What is needed?

  • Baby girl (newborn): Nappies, Formula (infacare the pink box) and clothing
  • Boy (+- One years-old): Clothing (12 to 24 months) and shoes (baby size 4)
  • Ladies’ clothing (sizes 38 to 40) and shoes (size 8)
  • Men’s clothing (size 34 and size 40) and shoes (size 7)
  • Toiletries and sanitary items
