Update: The road is now open.

Protest action is taking place this morning (March 4) on the N11 near Platberg, Elandslaagte.

The road has been closed by angry protesters. 

Police have been deployed to the area to monitor the situation. 

In light of this protest, the recommended route for motorists to take is the Elandslaagte turn-off. Vehicles are currently backed up on the road, as they are unable to pass.
